Yesterday I just juuust changed out of my rubber shoes into these when I was deluged by torrents of rain. I've had these shoes for over six years now and always thought they were very rebellious schoolgirl. I love them with the acid green tights and tropical skirt. It would be amazing if Goths wore more tropical prints

The Perfect Small Backpack

I saw this girl at school today carrying this really perfect Tory Burch backpack. I love the two-tone straps and the putty colour of the glossy nylon with the leather and shape is just ridiculously perfect I love it.

An absolutely "orrible" picture of my outfit in my fattening mirror from the day before yesterday. Unfortunately for me, I don't have lovely friends who volunteer to take my picture every morning out of the kindness of their hearts so I have to take crappy shot like this! Enough wingeing.

So cute!! I love this shoot in Mierlo, especially the shot with her parents. The last shot also is the perfect example of that eternally relevant image of the unbearably desirable full-lipped lithe but bountifully buoyant Dutch blonde who looks best when she tries least. Okay here I go: ilovelarailovelarailovelarailovelaraaaaa ya nas shasawyyy she's so perfect!!
BTW one more indication of how awful I am as a blogger, I went to Fash Night Out in NY, DIDN'T make it to Calvin to see Lara but got the t-shirt!!! But we did see Grace Coddington.

So here you are. The buttery soft caramel Chanel Cruise calfskin boots that I bought last February from Selfridges and never showed you 'cause I'm such a bad blogger at the request of Dana from Overdressed (we have a little blogmance going on if you didn't notice). These pictures are so bad but aren't they gooorgeous?!! The whole shape of the heel and cap-toe and the continuity of the leather really got me. The colour is so seductive and rich too. Plus, they can be dressed up (preferably, always) or moderately down and that suits me just fine. Perfect! Mashallah! Allah ya7fithhom inshallah! Hahahahahahah.

I walked into Jimmy in Soho and saw that they have the 24:7 Edna over-the-knee boot in black leather (not suede) that I tried without success to call every store in the world to get February last year- so I got these goooooorgeous buttery soft caramel over-the-knee Chanel Cruise boots instead- and so I HAD to get them! Right? My mother disagreed. She thought Chanel over-the-knees which I wore officially three times were enough but I was like "mamaaa, but you know that they will sell out in a matter of days and I won't be able to get them ever again in the universe and they are flat and black so obviously different (ignore the fact that I already have black flat Jimmy boots) and anyway, its raining like crazy right now and I feel fat I just had a ton of rice pudding and Bank of America just put a hold on my account for 'suspicious activity' and enjoy your conference in Malaysia love-you-bye-itroo7een-bilsalama!"
And I got them shipped here for the purposes of tax evasion so take that New York! I am so bargain-savvy! 6al! Hahahaha. Aren't they beaaautipul?

Florence + The Machine - Shake it Out by Artur Cunha
I love this photo by Dana from Overdressed. And for some reason it reminded me of this wonderful new song by Florence and the Machine and Benny Benassi (Insane!). I want to fall into the night! I really, really do. Especially in that dress.

BREATH. TAKING!!!!!!!!!! Look at (clearly ana girl please do something you look like you are dying I love you) Abbey Lee in her simple blondie hairstyle and puffy band and beautifully, trippily appliqued candy pink and buttercup yellow skirt. Look at the monster jewelled belts on curtain-heavy bodysuits and coats. Look at how blissfully she integrated a 1950s American car aesthetic into a PVC/leather skirt. It's positively dainty! And more daintiness in the flame shoes. Flames? In pink and green? That I can wear to Claridges for tea with my great-aunt? GIVE ME. The kitschy lights and chrome details on the back of the pumps and wedges are set off marvellously by the simplicity of the silk dressed and pencil skirts. And the colour scheme is to diie (maroon accordion silk with emerald 3D flowers?) and and and and ...... ITS PRADA B********ES!!! That's enough to trump yo face.

My mother has friends in India, which is so great. Most people get swept into these absolutely awful package tours full of elephants and shopping malls organized by large hotels and thankfully, we managed to avoid that boredom. One night, my mother's friends took us to this really cool experimental theatre called the Prithvi Theatre in a Juhu, a suburb of Mumbai. I really enjoyed the performance. It was this play about the "call centre culture" that developed in India after the large American firms began to outsource labour there and how that affected the lives of these three characters. It was quite fantastic and the audience was interested and responsive so the atmosphere was great. We then went to a reeeally good Mangalorean fish restaurant in Juhu called Mahesh Lunch Home (so fresh!) and chilled with friends later on in the night.
